GoTalk NOW combines the straightforwardness of Attainment’s original GoTalk devices with the dynamic potential of an iPad platform. The application encompasses key elements expected from a high-quality AAC solution, including customizable page layouts, personalized navigation options, recorded and text-to-speech functionalities, and an integrated symbol set. Notably, the development team has dedicated significant effort to refining features that distinguish it from other AAC apps in the market.

The latest version introduces three distinct styles of communication pages: Standard, Express, and Scenes. Standard pages facilitate interaction via pressing specific areas. Express pages utilize a speech bar that sequentially plays recorded or text-to-speech messages upon pressing. Scene pages leverage images or photos; users can overlay invisible hotspots that trigger speech, music, or videos when activated. Users have the flexibility to combine different page types within a single communication book.

Users can create multiple communication books with customized settings and unlimited pages. These can be shared via WiFi with other users and securely backed up through cloud services like Dropbox or transferred to Mac or PC systems. The app also offers multimedia integration—blending video, music, and interactive jumps—creating a rich communication environment. Additionally, users can store up to five personalized templates in an online gallery for free and easily email these templates to parents or colleagues.

GoTalk NOW functions as a comprehensive scanning app as well. Its features include:
